<\/p>\nSustainable development is a consolidated priority for Effepierre S.p.A. and expressed over time with concrete actions, such as support for the project thatAssociazione Epsilon Onlusis carrying out, with the support of the Marianist Religious Women, in the village of Tch\u00e9b\u00e9b\u00e9 in Togo.<\/p>\n
In this community, the population derives its subsistence mainly from agriculture, while other vocational learning opportunities are scarce or non-existent.<\/p>\n
The project aims to assist four young people a year, boys and girls aged between 20 and 25, teaching them the profession of tailoring and Pagne weaving, a characteristic item of clothing from the Togolese regions.<\/p>\n

The training will take place at a professional center that will be specifically established, where the Marianist Sisters will dedicate themselves to following the educational path of these young people.<\/p>\n
In addition to sewing skills, language courses (French and English), economics, and other useful skills will also be provided.<\/p>\n
At the end of three years, these young people will be able to open their workshops and secure a livelihood after also obtaining the Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP).<\/p>\n
The project also includes the purchase of the equipment necessary for the opening of the laboratories, including sewing machines, weaving machines, work tables, irons, threads, and scissors, to guarantee all the resources to carry out the activities of the participants.<\/p>\n

In compliance with UN Goal 8, we are convinced of how important it is to promote sustainable development in the territories, in this case in a developing country, with initiatives to support local activities and the creation of growth and job opportunities for populations, with particular attention to the youngest.<\/p>\n
